The first album of the Federico Lechner Tango&Jazz trio is released! It´s title is “Estela” and it is a sample of some of the best that the trio was performing during the last year, experimenting with the fusion of Tango and Jazz through some classic pieces from both sides and some original compositions. It features Jato on Electric Bass, Marcelo Gueblon on Drums and Martha Patricia “Pat” as a special guest. Painter Daniel Merlin has painted a beautiful picture for the album. “Estela” has been made for the memory of our friend Estela Acuña. A PRIMERA VISTA ("At first sight") |

Trumpet & Piano Duet album. Almost every tracks are first (and only) take, and many of the tunes were unknown for one of us. Recorded during two nights, we really enjoyed making music together without any other ideas on our minds. This CD was one of the three finalists on the Spanish Music Awards on the "Best Jazz Album" cathegorie on the 2002 edition.
